Week 2 - The Future of Computers
In week 2 we focused on the Windows system and the components needed to run it. It all started with the father of computers, Charles Babbage, he wanted to be able to perform calculations with no error in them so he set out on a mission to create a machine that could do that. His ideas where ahead of its time it was the start of something that would change the world.
In less than a century we've gone from computers being huge and heavy, some being the size of cars to know having a entire computer in the palm of your hand. Computers now a days are powerful enough to run programs that were on imagined back then. With all of them improving every single year and sometimes being twice even three times as powerful. For example the newest graphics cards like the 3080 were twice as powerful as its predecessor the 2080. The 3080 is meant for the everyday tech savvy user who play video games and edits videos and such. There's already rumors of the next generation of graphics cards. The same applies for CPUs. Every single peace of technology is advancing from the motherboard being used to connect the components to the PSU's used to power the machine. Not to mention that computers are getting smaller and smaller and more powerful. In the future they might even be small enough that we cant see and it'll be imbedded in our bodies for us to use.
